Nayanthara has been in the news a lot lately. More recently for having dropped out of Payya, because theproducer asked her to take less than the 1 crore discussed earlier with her. In an interview, Nanyan said the industry seems to have thought the last few films she has been in have not done well, and so they thought she would take less. But she made it very clear that what is important to her is the pride she takes in her work, and she won't undersell herself.
However, in a surprise move, she has agreed to take less for the Malayalam film, Bodyguard, starring Dileep Kumar and directed by Sidiqque. The reason? Because she liked the script a lot. Nayan felt it was worth taking a cut in her salary to support a good movie such as Bodyguard.
