Actress Bhoomika is whom Kollywood recognizes as the heroine with the girl next door image. And the actress seemed completely at ease with this image, even as she serenaded on the screens as a demure heroine in films like 'Roja Koottam', 'Sillunnu Oru Kadhal' and 'Badri'.
The actress is back in Tamil cinema after a hiatus with 'Kalavadiya Pozhudhugal'. In the movie, again, the actress plays wife to Prakash Raj and is said to be the pivot of the plot. Ask her if she misses not doing glamourous roles, and the actress simply says she never did them. "It takes some attitude to do certain roles and I didn't think I had them. So, I opted for what I was comfortable in," she says, adding that this discretion in roles will continue even now, given that she is married.
"If I wanted to be glamourous in acting, it should have been then, when I entered the industry. I didn't do it then so I don't want to do it now. But yes, sometimes, I do think I could have been more experimental with performance based roles that did need glamour too," she says, calling her role in 'Kalavaadiya Pozhudhugal' a once in a lifetime character.
