The Chennai Super Kings and the whole group of IPL teams are off to South Africa to battle for the cup this year, and we wish them all the very best. But we’ve all heard the Lakshmi Rai -Dhoni rumours, so we are just wondering whether she will actually pack her bags and be off as well to catch Dhoni and his team in action. But Lakshmi has something totally non-spicy to say.
“I’ll be cheering for Chennai Super Kings of course!” she says, but adds immediately, “No, it’s not because of Dhoni. I think, of all the teams, Chennai Super Kings is the strongest. Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab are also quite strong, but none can beat the Chennai Super Kings.” But what’s the deal with her and Dhoni? “Arre yaar! Dhoni and I are stale news. I have declared a number of times that we are just good friends. Clichéd as it may sound, that’s the truth.
I am single, happy, content and enjoying my status to the core. I have my work to keep me busy and I don’t want any distractions,” she concludes. And talking about work, well, she’s got her hands full and so she will not be flying to South Africa; not even the strong and powerful Chennai Super Kings can lure her away from her acting!
