Mani Ratnam has finally acknowledged the actress in his wife Suhasini. He has offered her a prominent role in his upcoming venture Ravana. The Hindi version stars Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Bachchan and Vikram, while the regional versions have Vikram, Aiswarya and Prithviraj in the lead roles. The movie is expected to give a different perspective to Ramayana in this modern age.Mani Ratnam is known for his perfectionism in every field of movie making, right from the choice of theme to the stars and to the final execution. Therefore it has to be acknowledged that none of his characters in any of his movies have been out of place. But that the talented actress Suhasini had to wait for so many years for her husband benevolence glance to fall upon her would point in two directions.
Maybe the actress who has donned many prominent roles in South India had to wait for so long to enter into her husband's good books, to prove herself as a capable actress or that the loving husband has been waiting for the right opportunity to cast his wife, the talented actress in a role befitting her status.
