Malayalam filmgoers never dreamt that pretty Bhavana would make it big in Malayalam like this! After her prime roles in Twenty:20 and Prithviraj starrer Lollipop, Bhavana is cast in two consecutive Mohanlal starrers: Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded and Casanova. Bhavana is presently in Dubai shooting for Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded (a sequel to Mohanlal’s 1987 blockbuster Irupatham Noottandu directed by K. Madhu).In Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded directed by Amal Neerad of Big B fame and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad films, Bhavana appears as Namitha Menon, a CNN reporter who is after Sagar (Mohanlal), a Dubai-based underworld don, to dig and reveal a sensational scoop on his dealings. This film will grace theatres soon.
Bhavana’s Casanova will be directed by Roshan Andrews. Earlier, this film was scheduled to begin in July 2008, but was postponed due to a date clash in Mohanlal’s call sheets. The shooting is likely to begin after Mohanlal completes Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded. It is learnt that Bhavana has a very different role in Casanova. It is widely rumored that Bhavana has cancelled two Tamil projects to allot dates for these Mohalal starrers.
Meanwhile, Bhavana, who hasn’t tasted success in Kollywood so far, is said to be doing another Tamil film with Prithviraj after Jeyam Kondaan. This untitled film will be directed by Priya V. This is Prithviraj’s second movie with Priya V. after Kannaamochi Enada.
