She's debuting in Tamil with the Akash Jai starrer, Adada Enna Azhagu which has just been released. Biting her nails in anticipation of the audience verdict, debutante Nicole is on a theatre visit to see their reactions. She speaks to Expresso in a quick chat.

“I really hope people come to see my film and like me in it,” says the 17-year-old. Not that she is new to films since she already has three Kannada films and a Telugu one under her belt. But she is new to the Tamil screen and is hoping it will take her places.

The girl has played a medical student and the love interest of the hero in the movie. Shot in exotic locales, this romantic flick has plenty of scope for her to perform as well. At one time she is mentally affected in the film and even acts without make up. “It was tough doing those scenes. I even fell down many times during those shots where I had to imagine being attacked from all over,” recalls Nicole.

But apart from performing, she has taken the bold step of doing two bikini scenes in the film apart from a towel scene and a sexy seduction song in a nightdress. Now that’s a bold step for a newcomer so we ask her how comfortable she is with such scenes. “When we did those scenes, we only had the cameraman, director and hero on the sets,” recalls Nicole. “I don’t mind doing glamourous roles. If you have a good body then there’s no harm in flaunting it. So, I did the bikini scenes. But I will never do a screen kiss. My dad is dead against that,” she reveals.

The actor looks like she needs to lose weight in the film.

“Yes, I had put on weight because of a biking accident during the shoot in which Akashjai and the bike fell on me. I hurt my back and could not exercise at all. But I took painkillers and returned to the shoot,” says the brave girl.

She has good memories of the shoot where coactors Ashish Vidyarthi and Aishwarya who play her parents would give her tips. Nicole is now ready for the release of her next film Aarumanamey with new face Deepak. Slated for an April release, the film will show her as a village girl, quite in contrast to her first film. Lets see how audiences receive this new kid on the block.
