Actress complains about director Jananathan

March 10th, 2009

Like the story of burning a house because of scare over bed bugs, an actress walked out of shooting because of mosquitoes.

After 'Iyarkai' and 'E,' Jananathan is directing 'Peraanmai' with Jayam Ravi as hero, 'Vattaram' Adhisaya and 'Kaadhal' Saranya as heroines. The shooting is taking place at Thalakonam.

Since the shooting took place in dense forest area, there were lots of mosquitoes at night. Just for one night, they had to sleep at the shooting spot itself, but Adhisaya could not tolerate the mosquito bites, so the next day, she went to Tirupathi 40km away to stay at a hotel there. Jayam Ravi is also going to shooting from the hotel.

Recently, the second schedule of shooting started. Jananathan has asked that Adhisaya stay at the shooting spot in Thalakonam. The mosquito bites made her feverish and she had to be admitted to a hospital in Tirupathi. Despite that, Jananathan has asked that Adhisaya still stay at the shooting spot and she has refused. It's said the director almost slapped her for that.

After that Adhisaya could not take part in the shooting. She came to Chennai and gave a complaint at the Nadigar Sangam. In her complaint, she has stated, "Director Jananathan made to stay in an unclean spot. Because I refused, he spoke to me in belittling words, and also came to slap me."

It's said that the mother of the other actress and Jananathan also had differences of opinion.
Nadigar Sangam is to enquire into the matter.
