The meltdown has forced many Tamil film producers to bring down production costs. Actors Vivek and Vadivelu have been badly hit by the recession, as they are said to be the highest paid daily wage earners in the industry. Though their film careers are booming, producers are finding it increasingly difficult to cast them in their films.Vivek, we hear, does not want to cut down on his salary and so, has been forced to do fewer films. The latest we hear about the actor is that he might do a television serial for a private channel. The serial will be a laughter riot, according to sources.
The comedian thinks that there is nothing wrong in opting for the small screen when his career in the Tamil film industry is booming.
