Over-enthusiastic fans of Vijay have put the superstar in a fix. During one of the recent tours of Vijay to promote his 'Villu', some of his fans put up posters that depicted the star as Lord Ayyappa.Some Hindu organizations have asked Vijay to own up the "act of blasphemy" and tender an apology. Some of these organisations are said to be contemplating legal action against the superstar.
During J. Jayalalithaa’s last tenure as chief minister, one of her party members had brought out a poster depicting her as Virgin Mary. In the uproar that followed, Jayalalithaa removed the concerned person from her party. The protestors expect no less a response from Vijay, it is learnt.
