She said that women shouldn't be insulted just for the reason they go to pubs. "Pubs are places to recreate and way to unwind for women. They shouldn't be disturbed in the name of moral policing. One should respect freedom of thought and expression", Genelia said.
We all know that police have been making sudden raids on pubs in some cities as a part of moral policing.
It is true that many girls and boys have been going on wrong track, with the so called 'freedom' suggested by Genelia.
"If 'freedom of thought and expression' should be respected, should Seema, the arrested sex worker cum actress also respected? Why was she arrested?", questions a housewife.
"India hasn't grown western yet. Moral policing shouldn't be stopped as said by Genelia. Otherwise things go wrong. We will certainly see sadistic killers and rapists like that of the West", the ladies say condemning Genelia.
