The audio launch of Nandalala was a simple affair held at Four Frames on Pongal Day.

The director turned hero of the film, Mysskin, was at his articulate and humorous best as he welcomed his friends on the dais for the simple launch which consisted mostly of speeches minus the fanfare that usually goes into such events.

Bhagyaraj, Pandiarajan, Gautham Menon, Thangar Bachchan, Arya , Prasanna, Arun Pandian and Karunas (of Ayngaran International Films Pvt Ltd), Ameer, Ratnavelu and Nirav Shah were some of the guests present.

A short trailer with one background song was shown to the audience. The montage shots showed Mysskin, the little boy hero Aswath Ram and Snigda among others and did much to raise the curiosity of the audience. The music is by the legendary maestro Illayaraja.

Mysskin narrated the circumstances in which this film was made and thanked Ayngaran for producing it without even wanting to hear the story. “I wrote this film after Chithiram Pesuthadi and didn’t have even money to buy tea for myself. I wrote it in 37 days and only friends saw me through at the time,” recalled Mysskin.

The director was all praise for his little hero Aswath, “He completed each shot in one take but I had to work only according to his moods. But he is really brilliant in the film and is a child prodigy.”

Mysskin stressed that he took to acting only because heroes refused the role but in future he has no intentions to act unless an unusual role comes along that requires him to. Mysskin claims that there is a part in the film which is based on what happened to him in real life and he will reveal that later after the release of the film.

Now let’s see what that bit is going to be. With the unusual twists and turns in his stories, one can expect the unexpected!
