After elaborate shooting schedules in Peru, Goa and Vellore Institute of Technology, shoot for the Rajinikanth-Aishwarya Rai starrer has moved now to Chennai. A set, elaborate like the glass house that was erected for Sivaji, has been prepared for the shoot, which will actually be a romantic duet, featuring Ash and Rajini.Aishwarya Rai is said to be playing a student in the film, in which Rajini plays a scientist. Shoot involving the romance between the two in college were canned in the Vellore Institute of Technology, following which the shoot has now moved to Chennai.
Shooting for the movie has been proceeding at a brisk pace, and true to Shankar’s style, the crew began with shooting for a song. Music and songs have always had an important role in the director’s earlier flicks, given the grandeur we associate with him.
So far, three songs of the movie have been canned. The crew was supposed to proceed to Kulu Manali for a song but it is learnt that it had to be postponed, owing to Aishwarya’s commitment for Maniratnam’s 'Asokavanam'.
Maniratnam’s project, meanwhile, is being shot in the deep forests in Madhya Pradesh.
