Sridevi, who once was the empress of Indian filmdom, is all set to make a return to Bollywood with the remake of the Tamil superhit, ‘Abhiyum Naanum’, it is learned.Her husband Boney Kapoor has acquired the Hindi remake rights of the film. The Tamil film, directed by Radha Mohan, explores the intricate relationship between a father and his daughter, played by Prakashraj and Trisha. Anil Kapoor and Sridevi might play the roles essayed by Prakashraj and Aishwarya respectively in the original. Boney Kapoor has asked Radhamohan to direct the Hindi version as well, it is heard.
After ‘Mozhi’, the combination of actor-producer Prakashraj and director Radhamohan has again struck gold in ‘Abhiyum Naanum’. The producers are queuing up to acquire the remake rights of the film in other languages. Another distributor has acquired the rights to dub the film in Telugu for around Rs 1.5 crore!
