The latest buzz that’s doing the rounds is that Mammootty would be playing a key role in Kamal Haasan’s Kollywood remake of the Neeraj Pandey-directed Hindi film ‘A Wednesday’.Kamal Haasan, of course, would be playing the key role, the one essayed by Naseeruddin Shah in the original. Mammootty would get to play the role of the police officer played by Anupam Kher.
This is not the first time that Kamal is attempting to remake a film on terrorism. In 1996, Kamal had produced the P.C.Sreeram-directed ‘Kuruthi Punal’, a remake of the Govind Nihalani-directed ‘Drohkaal’.
