The dispute between Nayantara and director Lingusamy will come up for hearing at the meeting of the Tamil Film Producers’ Council to be held on December 31. The actress has pulled out of his film ‘Paiyaa’ and refuses to return Rs.25 lakh, the advance amount paid to her more than a year ago, accuses the director.Nayan argues that since she had allotted a number of days for the film and had to reject many offers from other producers, she is entitled to keep the advance amount. The preliminary hearing, held on December 24, was not successful in reaching at an amicable solution.
Priyamani had hopes of pairing up with her ‘Paruthiveeran’ hero, Karthi, when the news of Nayantara pulling out of ‘Paiyaa’ came out. But, before Priyamani could do make a try, the role went to Tamanna.
